October 2017, Weekday-weekend, 2-nights
We have camped in this campground a few times, and you can find more pictures and information about the campground in my previous post from August 2016. Nothing has changed in the campground since we started visiting it about five years ago. Other than the one Thursday night last August, we have only camped here in the spring and fall, so the atmosphere may be different on the weekends in the summer.

Campsite 19
We had noticed this campsite during our August stay last year. We like this site because it is spacious, secluded, and on the river. It is the first site on the left as you start into the campground, which also means there is more traffic because everyone entering has to drive by.

It is not a great site if you are traveling with other campers, because there are no campsites next to it. It was perfect for us this visit, because we were traveling alone. Additionally, our fifth wheel is kind of tall, and there are some low-hanging branches along the loop at the back of the campground.

I have included more photos of the campsite farther down in this post.
Facilities
We did not visit any of the outhouses. There was not any odor coming from the set of outhouses located between this campsite and the next one. Fortunately, there is more than one water pump in the campground, because someone must have thrown fish guts or something in the dumpster near the one at the entrance. The stench from that when we entered was unbearable.

Misc.
We had the same cell phone experience this stay, as we have had every time we camp here. My phone worked fine for texts and calls; however, the data service was almost non-existent. There was a storm coming in the day we left, and I had a difficult time loading the details.

This is one of our favorite campgrounds, and we like the atmosphere. Every time we have stayed here, it has been peaceful.

There are many ORV trails around this campground, and in the Luther area. Another state forest campground, which is nearby and on the ORV trails, is Carrieville.
