Platinum perks and check in

I reserved a king studio, and received a nice upgrade to a one bedroom suite before arrival. Check-in was efficient, and I received my bonus points within a few hours of check-in.

This guestroom is located on the top floor. The sunset both nights of our stay was amazing. The couple of photos I am sharing do not fully capture the beauty we witnessed.

The suite was spacious and clean. Although it contained a sofa and desk with chair, we thought the most comfortable seats were the bar stools. The internet speed was rather slow both nights of our stay.

The bed and pillows were comfortable, and the sheets were good quality. It was mostly quiet in the guestroom, although we did hear the TV from room 416 the second night of our stay after going to bed. Hallway noise was not a problem since we had a bedroom door.

Food and beverage

Breakfast foods were fresh and plentiful. Fresh granola and dried fruits were available for yogurt toppings, along with hot foods and fresh fruit. The offerings varied slightly each day.

The evening socials included AVA Grace wine, Michelob Ultra, and two IPAs. The food the first evening was kind of dismal, and it was fabulous the second evening. Tacos and toppings were served the second evening. Yes, there is taco meat under the lettuce in my photo!

This hotel has a nice outside sitting area with gas grills. A corn hole game was leaned up against the wall.

Misc. and overall.

Overall, we had a great stay at this hotel, and would choose it again. Although it is near the airport, we were never disturbed by airplane noise. The first morning of our stay, we were disturbed by the hotel fire alarm though, as it went off around 7AM. We had this happen at another hotel recently too, and the alarm at this hotel is deafening! Not only was it going off in our room, but there was another alarm just outside our door that was even louder when we opened it to go downstairs. We saw the fire crew arrive while we were having breakfast, and it was apparently a false alarm.

Hummel Park in Plainfield, Indiana

There is a nice park just down the road from this hotel where we walked during our stay, Hummel Park. This park has paved trails, which run alongside Blue Heron Lake, a couple of small fishing ponds, and White Lick Creek.
