March 2019, weekday, one-night, king studio guestroom 337
Diamond perks and check-in
This hotel has three diamond member parking spaces near the entrance, and two were available when we arrived. During check-in, the front desk agent offered me an item from the snack choices on the counter. We received an upgrade to a king studio on the top floor at the end of the hall, which is exactly my preference; I had booked a standard king guestroom.

King studio 337
This spacious guestroom was clean, comfortable, well-lit, and the sleep quality was
excellent. Our only minor disappointment with the guestroom was the small window. When we first entered, and observed drapes covering the entire outside wall, we were excited and expected a large window behind the drapes. The drapes gave the room an inviting feel, which turned to disappointment when we saw the small window. Not really that big of a deal, though--we otherwise absolutely loved this guestroom!

The guestroom contained a sofa, slide-under end table, footstools, tall console table, flatscreen TV on a storage cabinet with shelves, coffeemaker with supplies, small fridge, desk and chair, king size bed, and shelves next to the bed. I think the built-in wall shelves instead of nightstands are a clever idea, which I imagine makes room cleaning easier. There were several lamps and outlets in the guestroom.

The bed, pillows, and linens were comfortable and good quality. The sofa was comfortable, as well. We did not hear any noise from outside, or in the hallway during our stay.

A closet located in the entry hall outside the bathroom contained the usual items: hangers, folding luggage rack, iron, ironing board, and extra bedding. A sliding mirrored door doubled as the closet and bathroom door.

Breakfast room at Hampton Inn Mt. Pleasant |
Breakfast in the morning was very good. Items were fresh tasting, and well stocked. Seating was comfortable, and the entire area was clean and well maintained.
iHop is located next to this hotel, and when I checked in, the agent said guests can get a 10% discount by showing their room key. There are several additional restaurants nearby, as well.
Pool area, outside patio, fitness center
We used the whirlpool tub at this hotel, and it was perfect. The temperature was great, and the area was clean and well maintained. There is an enclosed patio outside the pool area, although it was not open during our stay, since it was cold outside. The fitness center is located next to the pool. I observed one guest using a treadmill during our stay.
Misc. and overall
This is one of the nicest hotels I have stayed in this year, and it is definitely what I appreciate in a hotel: super clean, smiling and helpful staff, excellent sleep quality, and more. I was surprised when a staff member told me this property had been remodeled two years before our stay, because everything looked brand new! Employees definitely take pride in this property. During our stay, I observed staff washing/cleaning all public areas: the pool area, lobby entrance, halls... I did not notice anything at this property that looked neglected. This will definitely be my hotel choice next time I am in the area.
Let me know if you have any questions!
